Episode 8: Building a strong preschool gymnastics program.
Today I talk about building a strong preschool gymnastics program. What exactly does it take to create a successful preschool program that not only provides a fun learning atmosphere, but one that allows these children to truly thrive?
Important factors to consider:
1. Have you created skill sheets for each level of your preschool program?
2. Who is creating your preschool programming? Hopefully someone with a large gymnastics knowledge base.
3. Who do you have teaching your preschool classes? If your answer is all high school kids, then you're doing it wrong.
4. How are you setting up your circuits and stations? Knowing the developmental stages for preschool-aged children will go a long way to creating a successful program.
5. Continue to build relationships with parents/families. A good preschool coach knows parents, grandparents, or other care givers fairly well. You should know their names, what they do for a living and other important information that creates RELATIONSHIPS.
Are you look for assistance with programming your preschool gymnastics classes? I provide customized preschool planning based on your equipment list and skills. To start you'd provide me a list of your preschool supplies and skills and I provide 3,6 or 12 months of programming. It's a great way to take the stress out of your job and leave it to someone with over 30 years coaching experience. Want to try it out for free? I will give you two weeks of programming free if you message me on social media.
